Enchanted objects // The new york times
Director, cinematographer, EDitor
As technology advances, more and more objects in our homes are becoming smart, or enchanted. David Rose, a researcher at the MIT Media Lab, creates these enchanted objects and studies the ability of technology to help us become more connected as people. Here, he showcases prototypes and working products both in his lab and his home, explaining how connected objects are moving from wearable technology like smart watches and cell phones to arrival-aware doorbells and programable medication caps that make our home lives a truly magical experience.
Filmed at the home of David Rose and the MIT Media Lab, I interviewed Mr. Rose and his colleagues about new advancements in technology and how ordinary household objects can become "enchanted,"enhancing their ubiquity in our everyday lives.
